What are superfoods?
I don’t know if scientists have backed up the term “superfood”, but what is labeled as superfood by the nutrition experts are foods rich in vitamins and minerals that are much-needed for our bodies.
Most of them are also sources of antioxidants, substances that help our body fight free-radicals (toxins produced in our body while processing the food we eat) and therefore stop cell damage and help prevent disease.
Although, every region and cuisine has its own superfoods, nowadays it is very popular for nutrition experts to discover and promote new exotic superfoods from all over the world that are worth trying and incorporating into our daily menus.
