According to a research, 112 teenagers were monitored, who had problems with their body, and also stress and depression. Half of them took dancing classes, the others didn’t.
What happened was: Those teenagers that started dancing improved their physical and mental health, and their mood improved – and it lasted even 8 months after dancing ended.
The others stayed in the down mood and didn’t have any improvement.
Even though they were teenagers, I am sure this applies to all of us, as by exercising the body naturally produces:
- endorphin and serotonin,
- neurotransmitters that affect our mood,
- energy levels and overall well-being.
